On the other, a marquetry composition in High Glossy lacquer reveals a sleeping rabbit rendered entirely in rare wood veneers.

🎨 Marquetry in High Glossy: A Surface of Living Wood

The marquetry side of the Dreamer Play Table is executed by hand in the finest Portuguese tradition, using seven species of wood veneer. White Bird Eye suggests the softness of fur, Grey Bird Eye forms the cloud beneath, and Walnut Root provides the warmth of the ground. Each element is cut to tolerances of less than a millimetre.

The final surface is sealed in High Glossy lacquer, revealing natural pigments with an extraordinary depth that no printed or painted alternative can replicate. As it is made from living material, no two pieces are ever identical, making every table a unique heirloom.
